In collaboration with the New-York Historical Society and Oxford University Press, the Bryant Park Reading Room presents a series of free lectures to stimulate your mind on popular topics including politics, biography, Civil War history, and more.
In this narrative thriller, The Center Holds, Jonathan Alter examines Obama’s quest for a second term in office amid rising unemployment rates, an anemic economy, and feelings of general distrust from the American public.

SPEAKER BIO
Jonathan Alter is a notable journalist, writer, and media analyst. Award-winning author, his most recent book is The Center Holds: Obama and His Enemies. He writes a regular column for Bloomberg News titled, “Bloomberg View.”
LOCATION
This program will be held at the Reading Room in Bryant Park. The Reading Room is located on the 42nd Street side of the park between 5th and 6th Avenues. Look for the burgundy and white umbrellas.
